Socio-economic description of peasant class of south Ural and middle Volga region in the second half of XIX century

Abstract

Despite the reform of the serfdom abolition, the poorest peasants of the Uralsand the Volga region could not move tocities and towns. Most peasants remained invarious kinds of dependence and could not substantially change the nature of agricultural production in their own allotments.Несмотря на реформу по отмене крепостного права, беднейшие крестьяне Урала и Поволжья не смогли переехать в города.
