Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on tutkia Pelastakaa Lapset ry:n järjestämää tukiperhetoimintaa. Tavoitteenamme on selvittää lasten vanhempien kokemuksia tukiperhetoiminnasta. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on myös saada vanhemmilta palautetta, jonka avulla Pelastakaa Lapset ry voi kehittää tukiperhetoimintaansa vielä paremmin perheitä palvelevaksi. Kysyntää tukiperhetoiminnalle on paljon enemmän kuin tarjontaa, mikä kertoo siitä, että tukiperhetoiminta on hyvä keino auttaa tuen tarpeessa olevaa lasta ja hänen vanhempiaan. Yleensä lapsi viettää tukiperheessään sovitusti yhden tai kaksi viikonloppua kuukaudessa. Pelastakaa Lapset ry:n järjestämä tukiperhetoiminta on vapaaehtoistoimintaa, joka tarjoaa lapsille suunnitelmallisen tuen ja huolenpidon. Tukiperhetoiminta on tärkeä lastensuojelun avohuollon tukitoimi. Tutkimuksemme osoittaakin, että tukiperhetoimintaa pidetään hyvänä palveluna. Vanhemmat olivat tyytyväisiä tukiperheisiinsä ja näkivät tukiperhetoiminnan juuri heille oikeana tukimuotona. Tukiperhetoiminnalle toivottiin enemmän näkyvyyttä, koska se ei ole ihmisille tarpeeksi tuttu asia. Vanhempien kokemukset tukiperhetoiminnasta olivat positiivisia. Tukiperhetoiminnan kautta vanhemmat olivat saaneet apua lasten hoitoon ja arjessa jaksamiseen. Vanhemmat toivoivatkin, että kaikilla tukiperhettä tarvitsevilla olisi mahdollisuus sellaiseen. Vanhemmat olivat myös tyytyväisiä tukiperheen ja Pelastakaa Lasten kanssa tehtävään yhteistyöhönThe purpose of our Bachelor´s Thesis is to investigate Save the Children organisation´s support family activity. Our goal is to clarify parent´s experiences of the activity. One purpose of the study is to get feedback from the parents´. This helps Save the Children organisation to improve their support family activity to serve the families better. The demand of support families exceeds the supply which tells us that support family activity is a good way of helping the child and his or her family who are in need of support. Usually child spends time in a support family one or two weekends in a month. Save the Children organisation´s support family activity is voluntary work which provides systematic support and care for the children. Support family activity is an important support activity in child welfare as far as open care is conserned. Our study indicates that support family activity is good service from the parents´ point of view. Parents´were satisfied in their support families and they find it to be the right support activity for them. Parents´wish that support family activity could be more visible because it is not very familiar thing to people. Parents´experiences in support family activity were positive. Through the support family activity parents´ got help in child care and they got more strength to carry on in everyday life. Parents`wished that all the people that are in need of support family could get one. Parents´were also satisfied in the cooperation with support family and Save the Children organisatio
