Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa vastasyntyneiden osastolle audiovisuaalista materiaalia keskoslapsen vanhempien ohjaukseen. Sen tavoitteena oli sekä keskosen kehityksen että lapsen ja vanhempien välisen vuorovaikutussuhteen tukeminen oikeaoppisen käsittelyn avulla. Ohjausmateriaali on tuotettu DVD:n muodossa. Opinnäytetyön idea tuli työelämän tarpeesta, Kätilöopiston sairaalan osasto LV37:n henkilökunnalta. DVD tehtiin yhteistyössä Metropolia Ammattikorkeakoulun sekä Kätilöopiston sairaalan osasto LV37:n kanssa syksyllä
2009. DVD kuvattiin osastolla LV37. Toisena tavoitteena oli DVD:n käyttöönotto vanhempien ohjauksessa, jotta he osaisivat tukea keskosen kehitystä oikeaan suuntaan. On tärkeää rohkaista vanhempia käsittelemään ja hoitamaan vauvaansa, sekä tukea heitä vuorovaikutussuhteen luomisessa.
Opinnäytetyön teoreettisissa lähtökohdissa selvitettiin opinnäytetyön keskeisimmät käsitteet; keskonen, keskosuus ja vanhemmuus ja käydään läpi DVD:n sisältö. DVD:n avulla tuetaan keskosen kehitystä ja vuorovaikutuksen muodostumista. Kehityksen tukeminen sisältää keskosen asentohoidot esimerkiksi kyljellään nostaminen ja perustelut valituille toimintatavoille. Näiden pohjalta syntyi DVD Keskosvauvan kehityksen tukemisesta. DVD:n ensiesitys pidettiin 27.8 2009.
DVD:n arvioinnissa käytettiin metodina teemahaastattelua, joka tehtiin sekä yksilö- että ryhmähaastatteluna. DVD:n arviointiaineisto kerättiin haastattelemalla yhdeksää osasto LV37:n työntekijää. Arvioinnin tulokset saatiin yksinkertaista menetelmää käyttäen. Arviointitulosten mukaan osasto LV37 henkilökunta ottaa DVD:n käyttöön. Siitä toivotaan olevan hyötyä vanhemmille ainakin osastolla LV37. Tulevaisuudessa opinnäytetyöstä voidaan tehdä jatkokehittämistä esimerkiksi vanhempiin kohdistuvalla palautekyselyllä DVD:stä.Counselling for Parents of Premature Baby’s Care
The purpose of this thesis was to construct audiovisual guidance material for parents and support the development of premature baby. A DVD was created of the material. The aim was
that the DVD would be used under the guidance of parents, and it would help to people know how to support guide parents and encourage them to their own baby’s care and interaction.
Idea of the thesis came from Kätilöopisto Maternity Hospital Department LV37. DVD was made in cooperation with Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and Kätilöopisto Maternity Hospital Department LV37 in autumn 2009. The DVD was recorded in Kätilöopisto Maternity Hospital Department LV37. The purpose of the work was to support and guide parents and encourage them to their own baby’s care and interaction. The project’s theoretical starting point was to clear the central concepts; premature baby, premature and parenting. Also the contents of the DVD was described: how the development and interaction can be supported in different ways, and how it affects the development of premature baby. Also positions like raising the baby on her side and the reasons why it is good to do like that are included on the dvd. Based on these findings the DVD Supporting the development of premature baby was created. DVD's release was held in 27 of August 2009. The thesis was a qualitative analysis of the material and the method were used was a theme interviews which were made at both the individual and group interview. The data was collected by interviewing nine employees for DVD's assessment. The evaluation results were obtained using the material for content analysis. The evaluation results suggest that the Department LV37 says that the DVD will be used and it will be useful to parents in department LV37. In the future, further development of the thesis could be made, for example a questionnaire of the DVD aimed at the parents
