Imagens Worldview II aplicadas ao mapeamento e análise de corredores ecológicos em Manaus: Campus da Universidade Federal do Amazonas

Abstract

This paper presents the results of an application of high resolution satellite image WorldView II in the mapping of land use/land cover of the Federal University Amazonas, Brazil, and analyze potential ecological corridors between the Campus and its surroundings. To map potential corridors were established two scenarios with different importance values for the variables: permanent preservation areas (APP) use and land cover and street layout. At this stage analysis was used decision making suport - Weighted overlay. The images associated with WorldView II fieldwork allowed generate detailed maps of the Campus and its surroundings scale of 1:10,000. The vegetation Campus is predominantly composed of dense rain forest, with enclaves of campinarana, some areas with low vegetation and fields of capoeira. In the first scenario, with greater influence for APP, land use/land cover and the possibility of establishing corridors even in the presence of streets and avenues, showed that some restricted areas around the Campus can become UFAM corridors. The second scenario, with approximate values of influence for each of the three variables and constraint of ecological corridor by the presence of streets and avenues, demonstrated that it is possible to establish ecological corridors in any area in or around the campus of UFAM.Pages: 4056-406
