Vale do Itajaí has floods as a natural event and the society suffers with it since its colonization. Many studies are going on and Remote Sensing has been used after 1990. A GIS is being structured for organize and derive information. Within a set of studies, this try to understand the relationship between land cover and interception of precipitation, using Normalizes Difference Vegetation Index - NDVI, Leaf Area Index - LAI and the land use map, trying to establish quantitative correlation.Pages: 653-65
