Desastre Zero-Mapa de risco em sala de aula com o auxílio do Google Earth

Abstract

This paper describes the methodology to develop a risk map for natural disasters in classroom. This risk map is part of the activities developed in the Disaster Zero Program- Educational Program for prevention and redcution of natural disasters, which main objective is to develop educational activities in order to encourage the school teachers and the students to accomplish actions to prevent, to face and reduce natural disasters in the school. In order to get the map it is propose to use the Google Earth images and information about disasters in the newspapers, magazine, sites, homepages, all photos, maps and interviews with local people in the communities where the school is located. The risk map has to be available to everyone in the school and to be updated regularly.
