Mapeamento Geomorfológico: Considerações Metodológicas Utilizando Recursos de Modelos Digitais de Elevação

Abstract

This paper deals with mapping geomorphologic features using digital elevation models. It makes conceptual and methodological considerations of the opposing forces and structural mechanism morphoclimatic of the Earth, training process and relief sculpture through pedogenetic and morphogenetic processes, exogenous factors, soil formation and the forms of relief. It pointed out that information generation and processing of georeferenced spatial data contribute to the studies related to the structures and landforms, which represent the best products attitudes with more fidelity and better opportunities in the development of forms. The study areas is the sub-basin of the Fish river, southwest of the State of Goiás was founded in the methodology of Ross (1992) Geomorphology and Technical Manual (IBGE, 1955): a) bibliographic material, b) structuring a database at 1:100,000 scale, c) interpretation and delineation of geomorphic units along with ways to Modelado. The results showed an improvement in accuracy and evidence of geomorphology, in recognizing the limits of the basin, accounting for forms at each ninety meters. It concludes that the availability of products from Digital Elevation Models with satellite images of high resolution is new possibility for design and interpretation of relief aspects.Pages: 1216-122
