Con este trabajo se pretende completarlos datos preexistentes mediante la interpretaciónde la composición de las micasdetríticas de dos muestras de areniscascámbricas y precámbricas de la ZonaCantábrica que no han sido metamorfizadas después de su depósito.Detrital minerals provenance studies have become a common tool to decipher paleogeographic scenarios inmany orogenic belts. Together with the geochronological single mineral dating, the geochemistry of detritalminerals can provide insights on the source rocks of the studied detrital minerals. In this paper we study thechemistry of the detrital micas from two samples of Ediacaran and Cambrian age. The obtained results providean almost identical chemical signature for the studied detrital white micas in both samples. The fengitic vectorconditions the Fe+Mg proportion with some influence of the ferrimuscovitic vector mainly in the cambriansample. The results point towards an origin of the sediments from LP igneous or metamorphic source rocks
