Abstract

The history of free India is written with the unceasing pen ofGandhian journalism which emerged from the values and philosophybeing practiced and propagated by Mahatma Gandhi in his life andthrough his publications viz., Indian Opinion, Harijan and Young India.With courage of conviction, Gandhiji applied his principles in his lifeand in journalism as well. He could bravely write his quest for truthor experiments with truth in the modern era narrating his experienceswhile boldly facing the poignant situations to achieve his goals.Essentially, he believed that newspapers should have values whenthey were launched with a view to serving the people.
