An Interactive Computer Program for Subjective Systems and Its Application

Abstract

Decision problems have two phases: analytical and judgmental. In the judgmental phase of decision processes, preference order for alternative policy plans must be articulated with procedures for coordination and integration of various aspects for subproblems. For this purpose, decision analysis under uncertainty plays an essential role. In this paper we intend to develop a quantitative analysis of hierarchical preference structures for aiding decisions. An interactive computer program for subjective systems is presented and applied for assessing recent industrial development in the Sensyu area of Japan. Alternative policy plans are examined and evaluated
