This article describes world urbanization prospects, discovers some peculiarities of city growth in different regions, and makes the analysis of dependencies in economic growth and infrastructure investments. As a result, considerable discrepancies in urbanization process and its
infrastructure provision are revealed, and new sources of finance for solution of this problem are offered
