У підготовленій статті розглядаються проблеми формування полікультурності в учнів засобами шкільних курсів географії. Географія належить до шкільних предметів, знання яких є незамінними у розвитку молодої особистості. Знання географії дає можливість інтегрувати в цілісну систему знання про природу Землі та суспільний розвиток у полікультурному середовищі. Полікультурна компетентність учнів сприяє формуванню їх готовності до інтеграційних процесів, що відбуваються у світі.В подготовленной статье рассматриваются проблемы формирования поликультурности у обучающихся средствами школьных курсов географии. География принадлежит к школьным предметам, знание которых являются незаменимым в развитии молодой личности. Знание географии дает возможность интегрировать в целостную систему знания о природе Земли и общественное развитие в поликультурной среде. Поликультурная компетентность учащихся способствует формированию их готовности к интеграционным процессам, которые происходят в мире.The article deals with the problem of formation of multiculturalism in school students by means of school courses of geography. Students’ multicultural competence contributes to formation of their preparedness for integration processes, which are happening in the world. About importance of student’s multicultural education was emphasized in works of many foreign and domestic geographers and educators who reaserched the problem of school Geography. The world pedagogical ideas are actively developing the general strategy of multicultural education.
Tolerance, respect and understanding between people of world different folks, their cultural cooperation and collaboration is the core and the guarantee of justice and democracy, a condition of preventing violence and wars. That is why the role of the teacher is increasing. His professional competentions are realized in the formation of the young personality of Ukrainian society citizen and features of its national identity as a carrier of national culture and citizens of Europe and the world.
That’s all creates conditions for students to assimilate basic values and cultural peculiarities (physical, spiritual, normative) of the world folks as valuable, unique part of common human culture. In addition it requires developing of ability to observe, analyze, synthesize, formulate and solve multicultural tasks, implement the rules of living side by side in multicultural environment. There is a constant opportunity in Geography classes to emphasize for students that in our globalized world we all are becoming now participants of society changes. Quality of these transformations and changes depends on us, and without multiculturalism and tolerance it is impossible to realize them
