The purpose of this article is to analyze the responses to surveys, conducted among foreign language learners and teachers at four Universities in Bulgaria, where the study of Modern Greek language is a mandatory discipline in several philological specialties. The learners were at levels B1 and B2, following the Common European Language Framework. the surveys were conducted during the academic year 2014/2015, amongst 22 students at level B1 and 31 - at level B2
