New Australian taxa in Juncus (Juncaceae)

Abstract

From southeastern Australia, including Tasmania, the Juncus alexandri complex (in section Genuini) is discussed, with new taxa: J alexandri L. Johnson subsp. alexandri and subsp. melanobasis L. Johnson, J. laeviusculus L. JOfmson subsp. laeviusculus and subsp. illawarrensis L. Johnson, I bassianus L. Johson, J. astreptus L. Johnson. Three new species of section Septati are also described from the same region: J. ratkowskyanus L. Johnson, J. curtisiae L. Johnson, J. thompsonianus L. Johnson; all are small mat-forming plants
