ART  FORUM March  16    2007      Megan Keating    Bloodletting, 2007.               Megan Keating is a Hobart based artist who has a multi-disciplined practice crossing painting, paper cuts outs and site-specific installation. Megan has recently returned from a 3 month Asialink residency in Taiwan. As part of this residency Megan was investigating island based cultures and researching the relationship between visitors/foreigners, locals and indigenous communities within these cultures.  In this forum Megan will share some of her professional experiences from the Taipei Artists Village (TAV) and personal insights into Taiwanese culture. She will focus on the program of events, exhibitions and collaborative projects she was involved in as well as introducing some of the international artists also working at TAV at the same time.       12.30 pm Friday  Dechaineux Lecture Theatre  Tasmanian School of Art-Hobart, University of Tasmania
