ART  FORUM May 18    2007  Samantha Parsons  Floorscape, photo by Trevor Mein  Samantha Parsons established her design studio I am Samantha in 2004, following national and international recognition for her product design and twelve years working as a landscape architect and interior designer at some of Australia’s leading design practices.  The multidisciplinary design studio works across traditional boundaries of design to create whole environments that coexist somewhere between interior /exterior, space / furniture and between the designed and the open ended.  The studio is currently working on a range of built environments (residential, corporate and hospitality) in Melbourne and the development of a diverse range of new lifestyle products.   Samantha will discuss past and current works and what lessons can be gained from them.  She will also present her current research into how interior design, landscape architecture and product design work hand in hand reflect her fascination with low level living.    12.30 pm   Dechaineux Lecture Theatre  Tasmanian School of Art-Hobart, University of Tasmania
