[Extract] Oxygen uptake (VO₂) kinetics describe the characteristics of the rate of change of V0₂ in response to a change in work rate. Subjects attaining higher maximal oxygen uptake (V0₂max) have faster VO₂ kinetics (Eβfeld et al., 1987).
