In Celje basin flood hazard has been present during entire known history. In the area of confluence of\ud
rivers Bolska and Savinja main flooding events occurs mostly because of Bolska river. On the basis of\ud
recorded flood events in this area, where also Gomilsko settlement is located, intervention maps,\ud
which support protection and rescue actions, were elaborated. These maps have been elaborated on the\ud
basis of Flood Protection and Rescue Plans and Flood Hazard Maps, and the latter are elaborated\ud
according to the national legislation and EU Flood Directive. These intervention maps give\ud
information on extent of flood hazards with water depths at different relevant flood return periods,\ud
objects and infrastructure under risk and also the proposal of most suitable intervention measures at\ud
different scenarios. The maps were elaborated with support of two software, HEC-RAS and Arcmap,\ud
software for hydraulic modelling and spatial data analysis
