Abstract: For many of us, drinking coffee is part of our daily ritual to which we are deeply attached. As a global commodity, the coffee industry embodies inequality between producers and consumers, unsustainable agricultural practices, global transportation and production waste. Some of us relieve our consciences for our participation in this by choosing Fair Trade coffee, believing this is a vote for ethical and sustainable consumption.
