Collective life unbroken

Abstract

Making parallel cases for Muslim and African American collective life, this paper suggests taking the otherwise meaningless commonality of racial identity to which blacks have been ‘condemned’ and using it as a platform to incessantly provoke, experiment, reach out, argue and figure out ways to be together.
