Now a $5.3M annual investment in around 270 Purdue University students, faculty, and staff.  Goal is to improve the efficiency of the Indiana transportation system and infrastructure.  1,500 technical reports produced, about 20 new ones a year. Road School attracts 2,500 annually. THE PARTNERSHIP ACCESS STANDARDIZATION STEWARDSHIP ACCESS HIDDEN PRINT AND UNSTABLE ONLINE   ►  DISCOVERABLE IN PRINT AND ONLINE    STANDARDIZATION INCONSISTENT METADATA AND WORKFLOWS BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL   SENSIBLE METADATA  • Author name control project. (ORCID under consideration.) • Filling in gaps in TRID. (Submission to other indexers in the works.) • Dispensed with complicated controlled vocabulary in favor of author-supplied keywords and Google Scholar indexing. • Submission to library discovery platforms including Worldcat, Primo, ProQuest Summon, and EBSCO Discovery in the works. • Preservation in CLOCKSS and Portico in the works.  PUBLISHING WORKFLOWS  • Review process run from an in-box to ms. management system. • Author style-guide introduced incl. downloadable EndNote style. • Automated editing and template design using XML workflow. • CrossRef DOIs and ISBNs assigned. NEXT STEPS 1: PUBLISHING SOLUTIONS + The problem: How can JTRP best communicate its research to the taxpayers that fund it?
