The article tells the story of Arthur Polhill, the youngest of the Cambridge Seven—the young men who joined CIM and left what could have been the good life in late nineteenth-century England to share the gospel in China. Even though we know that they became famous for what they gave up, the careers of these men remain largely unknown. A partial remedy is found here as we learn about the major landmarks in the missionary career of Arthur Polhill. Excerpts from letters and memoirs offer glimpses of the many years he served in the Sichuan province planted what was one of the largest churches in the region.© 2019, OMF International (IHQ) Ltd.
