The bachelor's thesis deals with the competitiveness of the European union. In the first chapter, I try to define the competitiveness in general, then I deal with the lisbon strategy, its origin, course and evaluation. The second chapter involves the competitiveness comparison of the Czech republic and Estonia on the basis of World Bank's and World Economic Forum's analyses.
