We show that a Ξ∗ pole can be dynamically generated near the
KˉΣ threshold as an s-wave KˉΣ molecular state in a
coupled-channels unitary approach with the leading-order chiral interaction.
This Ξ∗ state can be identified with the Ξ(1690) resonance with
JP=1/2−. We find that the experimental Kˉ0Λ and
K−Σ+ mass spectra are qualitatively reproduced with the Ξ∗ state. Moreover we theoretically investigate properties of the
dynamically generated Ξ∗ state.Comment: 10 pages, 3 eps files, version accepted for publication in PTE
