A research on the ability of protein fraction from chocolate algae Turbinaria decurrens in territorial of South Sulawesi to inhibit the growth of Salmonella thypi and Staphylococcus aureus has been conducted. Proteins was fractionated from the whole extract using salting out method with 0-20%, 20-40%, 40-60% and 60-80% ammonium sulphate saturation. Protein was purified by a dialysis method using a selophan membrane.
