Analisis Vegetasi Lamun di Perairan Pantai Mara'bombang Kabupaten Pinrang

Abstract

Research about seagrass vegetation structure has been conducted in Mara???bombang waters, Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi. The aim of this research was to know the structure and condition of seagrass community in Mara???bombang coastal waters. This explorative study conducted with Quadrate Transect method. Study area divided into 3 stations based on the situation of location. First station located around populated local village, second station situated in vicinity of the dock, and the third station placed far away from both stations. Result showed that seagrass vegetation in Mara???bombang waters consist of 6 spesies :Cymodocea rotundata, Enhalus acoroides, Halophila ovalis, Halodule uninervis, Syringodium isoetifolium, dan Thalassia hemprichii. The highest density, frequency, coverage and importance value index were found in Enhalus acoroides which is 3,41 individu/m2, 0,21, 100%, dan 300% respectively. Distribution of seagrass pattern tend to be randomly and clumped. Substrate consist of clay (lempung berliat), mix sandy-clay loam (lempung liat berpasir). Temperature range from32??C - 33??C, pH 6,5 ??? 7 and salinity 25-26???. It has been concluded that Enhalus acoroides is the most dominant species in Mara???bombang waters. Environmental factors also showed feasible range for seagrass to grow
