FAKTOR PEMANFAATAN PELAYANAN VCT HIV PADA IBU HAMIL PESERTA ANC DI BEBERAPA PUSKESMAS KOTA MAKASSAR

Abstract

JURNAL MASYARAKAT EPIDEMIOLOGI INDONESIAABSTRACT\ud \ud Transmission of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) from mother to baby at this time increased with increasing HIV-infected women. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with the utilization of VCT services in pregnant women in ANC attendees Several Makassar Health Center 2013. The research was conducted in three health centers in the city of Makassar in Jumpandang Baru health center, Kassi-Kassi health center, and Jongaya health center. The study design was a cross sectional study. Sample of 230 respondents, where pdata conducted by interview using a questionnaire. Bivariate statistical tests using Chi square test (??2) at a significance level of p <0.05 and confidence interval (CI) 95%, stratification using Hanszel Mantel test and multivariate analysis using logistic regression. The results showed that factors related to HIV VCT service utilization among pregnant women is a standard implementation of the ANC (p = 0.004, RP1, 54, 95% CI: 0.072 to 0.387), knowledge about HIV, HIV VCT and PMTCT (p = 0.018, RP1, 282, 95% CI: 1.044 to 1.576), and the support of her husband and family (p = 0.002, RP 1.391, 95% CI: 1.137 to 1.701). The factors that are not related to the attitude towards HIV VCT service utilization (p = 0.859, RP 0.981, 95% CI: 0.795 to 1.210), and access to health care (p = 0.752, RP 0.820, 95% CI: 0.204 to 3.292). ANC service standards and support of her husband and family is the most influential variable on HIV VCT service utilization in pregnant women. Suggested increasing knowledge and awareness about the importance of service standards officers ANC, as well as increased knowledge about HIV / AIDS, VCT and PMTCT in pregnant women.\ud \ud Keywords: utilization factor, HIV VCT, AN
