This research sought to establish an existing dialogue between Geography and Literature through an analysis of the work “Vidas Secas” by Graciliano Ramos, and correlating the content of the work with the geographical concepts of migration and hunger. Its objective is to analyze, this language tool for the Teaching of Geography, looking for a dynamic, objective and easy to understand theme. Methodologically, a theoretical reference was made about the theme to be worked on, to understand and systematize the connection between Geography and Literature. Through the analysis of the book, it can be seen that Literature contributes to the subjective formation of the place and consequently of the landscape, stimulating curiosity and instigating the production of new knowledge. Through the analysis of this work, the study of space, place and regionalism in the Northeast are in evidence, making learning much easier, in addition to the magic that literature providesA pesquisa apresentada teve como objetivo analisar o uso da Literatura como ferramenta metodológica para o ensino da Geografia por meio da obra Vidas Secas de Graciliano Ramos, e correlacionar o conteúdo da obra com os conceitos geográficos de lugar, paisagem, espaço, fome e migração no semiárido nordestino e assim estabelecer um diálogo entre a Geografia e Literatura em uma aula interdisciplinar. A metodologia utilizada neste estudo foi a pesquisa bibliográfica com abordagem qualitativa acerca do tema a ser analisado, para entender e sistematizar a ligação existente entre a Geografia e a Literatura. Posteriormente foi realizada a análise da obra “Vidas Secas” de Graciliano Ramos e sua aplicação no ensino da Geografia, apontando as categorias geográficas, por meio de fragmentos da obra para a consolidação dos nossos objetivos. Por meio da análise do livro “Vidas Secas, pode-se perceber que a Literatura contribui para a formação subjetiva do lugar e consequentemente da paisagem, a qual estimula a curiosidade e instiga a produção de novos conhecimentos. Por meio da análise desta obra, o estudo de espaço, lugar e regionalismo do Nordeste fica em evidência e deixa o aprendizado muito mais fácil, além da magia que a literatura proporciona.
