This article aims at understanding the treatment given to fruits, a recurrent sign in the poetics of three women poets, the Brazilian poet Adélia Prado, the Portuguese Adília Lopes and the Angolan Paula Tavares. Through a comparatist methodological approach, it will be possible to trace how fruits are associated to feminine symbolism, related or not to the cultural blemish of the original sin.

Intertextuality.O artigo procura compreender, na obra de três poetisas contemporâneas em língua portuguesa – na brasileira Adélia Prado, na portuguesa Adília Lopes e na angolana Paula Tavares – o tratamento conferido às frutas, signos que marcam freqüência no transcorrer de suas poéticas. Numa aproximação metodológica comparativista, será possível perseguir a maneira como as frutas ficam associadas à simbólica feminina, associadas ou não à pecha cultural relativa ao pecado primordial.
