Measurement of γ\gamma from B→DKB \rightarrow DK decays at LHCb

Abstract

We report results from the first measurements of the CKM angle γ\gamma using B→DKB\rightarrow DK decays with the LHCb experiment. Three well established methods are used to extract the CP observables. The updated measurement of γ\gamma in the three-body D0D^0 Dalitz space results in γ=(57±16)∘\gamma = (57\pm 16)^\circ. When combining the observables from all \bdk studies, the best fit value for γ∈[0,180]∘\gamma \in [0,180]^\circ is γ=67.2∘\gamma = 67.2^\circ with γ∈[55.1,79.1]∘\gamma \in [55.1,79.1]^\circ at 68%CL and γ∈[43.9,89.5]∘\gamma \in [43.9, 89.5]^\circ at 95%CL. This represents the most precise γ\gamma values directly measured by a single experiment. Furthermore, a new time-dependent approach using Bs→DsKB_s \rightarrow D_s K decays is used for the first time to measure CP observables and future prospects for γ\gamma at LHCb are given.Comment: 4 pages, 7 figures.
