INTRODUCTIONSoftware engineering is a crucial enabler for successfuldeployment of robotic applications. However, much of theresearch that is advancing the state of the art in roboticssoftware engineering is dispersed across numerous conferencesthat are either primarily attended by robotics researchers andpractitioners (e.g., ICRA, IROS, SIMPAR) or attended mostlyby software engineering researchers and practitioners (e.g.,ICSE, FSE, MODELS). At robotics conferences, softwareengineering lacks visibility and vice versa.RoSE brings together researchers and practitioners fromboth domains at a prominent conference to foster cross-fertilization between the two domains. Through a combina-tion of presentations, papers, and discussions, RoSE helpsresearchers within the budding field of robotics software engi-neering to learn more about the challenges faced by roboticspractitioners that (i) require further research from the softwareengineering community or (ii) are already solved but solutionshave not yet been widely adopted by practitioners.To learn more about the workshop, please visit our website:https://rose-workshops.github.io/rose2024.II.
