Factors Influencing the Employability of the Graduates in a Knowledge-Driven Economy

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the factors which determine the employability of higher education graduates in the knowledge-based economy. We analyzing the employability issues from the perspective of higher education institutions, which are increasingly seen as the principal provider of the knowledge workers, as well as the main culprit for the eventually unemployment of their graduates. In our paper we do a review of the employability literature in order to reveal the whole range of factors which make some graduates more employable than others.Our goal is to sustain by evidences that providing qualified workforce is as important as creating conditions to manifest it in order to create a competitive economy, and this assume the implication of universities, individuals, employers, as well as the national level management for educationhigher education, knowledgebased economy, employability
