Abstract
Inthispaperweaddresstheimportantproblemofinstruc-tionfetchforfuturewideissuesuperscalarprocessors.Our approachfocusesonunderstandingtheinteractionbetween softwareandhardwaretechniquestargetinganincreasein theinstructionfetchbandwidth.Thatistheobjective,for instance,oftheHardwareTraceCache(HTC).
