The Fundación Universidad de América in its Program of Industrial Engineering has allowed its students as a degree requirement, developing feasibility projects for the creation of companies. From 2004 to 2014 there were a total of 265 proposals made, which have not been followed-up in any way. This article aims to measure the level of entrepreneurship in the Industrial Engineering Program, through the virtual self-assessment tool HEInnovate. Also, as an added value, the creation of a Center for Entrepreneurship is suggested and the inclusion of a chair that promotes said spirit in the studentsLa Fundación Universidad de América en su programa de Ingeniería Industrial ha permitido a sus estudiantes como requisito de grado, el desarrollar proyectos de factibilidad para la creación de empresas. Desde el año 2004 hasta el año 2014 se realizaron un total de 265 propuestas, las cuales no han sido objeto de ningún tipo de seguimiento. El objetivo de este artículo, es medir el nivel de emprendimiento en el programa de Ingeniería Industrial, por medio de la herramienta de Autoevaluación virtual HEInnovate. Asimismo, como valor agregado, se sugiere la creación de un centro de emprendimiento y la inclusión de una cátedra que promueva dicho espíritu en los alumnos
