Library Inventory Statistics Application: Eine Fallstudie über die agile Projektarbeit im Rahmen des Fachreferats

Abstract

Im Kontext der digitalen Transformation von Bibliotheken wird eine Neuausrichtung des Berufsbilds Fachreferat kontrovers diskutiert. Jedoch können die unterschiedlichen Qualifikationen der Fachreferent*innen sowie die organisatorische Verteilung über alle Bereiche der Bibliothek auch Chancen bieten, mit innovativen und agilen Projekten neue Nutzungskonzepte zu entwickeln. In diesem Beitrag beleuchten wir die Rolle der Fachreferate im Projektkontext der Entwicklung einer neuen IT-Anwendung zur Unterstützung des Revisionsprozesses namens LISA. Dabei wurde deutlich, dass Fachreferent*innen nicht nur unterschiedliche Nutzungsperspektiven einbringen, sondern auch für die Akzeptanz von neuen Services entscheidende Impulse setzen. Weiterhin wurde deutlich, dass durch die gemeinsame Projektarbeit eine gegenseitige Qualifizierung stattfindet, welche die Qualität künftiger Projekte, aber auch die allgemeine Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Fachreferaten verbessert.In the context of digitization of libraries, the future role of subject specialists is discussed controversially. However, with their heterogeneous qualifications as well as their distribution across the departments of the library, the subject specialists can be utilized in innovative and agile projects to develop new concepts of library usage. In this article, we set our focus to the role of subject specialists in a project to develop a new IT application named LISA to support the revision process. We learned that the subject specialists do not only provide different usage perspectives, but set decisive impulses for acceptance of new services within the library. It also became clear that joint project work leads to mutual qualification, which improves the quality of future projects as well as general cooperation among subject specialists
