Scenario of FABEL Prototype 3 Supporting Architectural Design

Abstract

This report gives the scenario of the various ways of support that FABEL Prototype 3 offers for architectural design. We first give an introduction to the methodology of task-oriented knowledge engineering and to PM5, a model of the process of building design. Within this setting we then describe every module of FABEL Prototype 3, outline its methods and illustrate its application. This research was supported by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Technology (BMBF) within the joint project FABEL under contract no. 01IW104.
