The lack of studies related to speech therapy practices in the SUS encouraged the carrying out of this research, since, in order to improve a certain area, it is essential to carry out studies that indicate its weaknesses, potentialities and point out the paths to be followed. In this way, an integrative review was carried out, in which 11 articles were identified in 3 different databases, highlighting the main speech therapy practices within the scope of the SUS. Weaknesses were noted in the training of speech therapists in public health management, collective health and in the concepts and practices involving the SUS. Furthermore, the predominance of a clinical approach in operations in hospitals, clinics and rehabilitation centers was identified, indicating the recurrent practice of the hegemonic medical model of health care.A falta de estudos relacionados às práticas fonoaudiológicas no SUS incentivaram a realização desta pesquisa, visto que, para que haja aperfeiçoamento de uma determinada área é imprescindível a realização de estudos que indiquem suas fragilidades, potencialidades e apontem os caminhos a serem seguidos. Desta maneira, foi realizada uma revisão integrativa, no qual foram identificados 11 artigos em 3 diferentes bases de dados, destacando as principais práticas fonoaudiológicas no âmbito do SUS. Percebeu-se fragilidades na formação do fonoaudiólogo na gestão em saúde pública, na saúde coletiva e nos conceitos e práticas que envolvem o SUS. Além disso, identificou-se a predominância de uma abordagem clínica na atuação em hospitais, clínicas e centros de reabilitação, indicando a prática recorrente do modelo médico hegemônico de atenção à saúde
