Abstract
With the increase in Japanese language learners and resident foreigners, the training of Japanese
language instructors has become a pressing issue. Additionally, the development of listening
comprehension skills in Japanese language learners is highly emphasized. However, the challenges in
teaching listening comprehension resulting from a scarcity of research in this area have been a source
of concern for many educators in the field. This paper focuses on Japanese listening comprehension
instruction and compiles the accumulated findings from recent research
