This article focuses on the formation and use of impersonal (non-finite) verb forms, the formation of subordinate clauses, and the use of subordinating conjunctions in the local dialect of Subit (in the Municipality of Attimis) of the Slovenian Torre dialect in Italy. It also presents the influence of Romance contact languages on the syntax of the Subit dialect. The author distinguishes between borrowing of syntactic patterns, linguistic influence on the frequency of using structures, and the influence of contact languages on spreading the structure’s function by analogy
