Fidicinoides flavibasalis

Abstract

<i>Fidicinoides flavibasalis</i> (Distant, 1905a) new record <p> <i>Fidicina flavibasalis</i> Distant, 1905a: 317.</p> <p> <i>Fidicinoides flavibasalis</i> Sanborn et al. 2008: 17.</p> <p> <i>Cicada (circa) rudis</i> Salazar Escobar, 2005: 196, 203 fig. 10.</p> <p> The specimen illustrated by Salazar Escobar has the same wing venation and general body markings as specimens of <i>F. flavibasalis</i> in the author’s collection from Colombia. <i>Cornuplura (= Cicada) rudis</i> (Walker, 1858b) is a Mexican species (Sanborn 2007b). The specimens in Salazar Escobar (2005) were collected in the Departamento Valle at Río Dovio and Río Garrapatas. FSCA has specimens from Dept. Valle, Lower Anchicayá. The species was recently transferred to <i>Fidicinoides</i> (Sanborn et al. 2008) and was previously known only from Ecuador (Metcalf 1963a).</p> <p> <i>Material examined.</i> “ COLOMBIA: Dept.
