The introduction deals with the liberalization of the electricity market and specific liberalization packages. The following section essentially describes the EU's climate policy and introduces the European Green Deal. The following chapters introduce the strategies of European countries and national transmission system operators to achieve climate neutrality, and in this context, pilot projects using renewable energy sources are described.
