El presente trabajo tiene el propósito de estudiar los romances incluidos en el manuiscrito “Poesías de varios autores del siglo XVI, recogidas y copiadas por D. Gregorio Mayans”(FD 346). El manuscrito forma parte de la colección del hispanista francés Raymond Foulché-Delbosc de la Biblioteca Nacional Argentina, acervo bibliográfico que aún ofrece lugares poco frecuentados por la crítica. El manuscrito compila, entre varias obras poéticas que incluyen una selección de canciones, octavas y glosas, cinco romances copiados de puño y letra del ilustrado español Gregorio Mayans y Siscar en la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII que ofrecen versiones y variantes de especial interés para los estudios romancísticos. Entre ellos se destacan romances vinculados con la materia caballeresca francesa y la épica castellana (particularmente una versión del romance de los Siete Infantes de Lara).The present work has the purpose of studying the romances included in the manuscript “Poesías de varios autores del siglo XVI, recogidas y copiadas por D. Gregorio Mayans” (FD 346). The manuscript is part of the collection of the French Hispanist Raymond Foulché-Delbosc at the Argentine National Library, a bibliographical heritage that still offers places little frequented by critics. The manuscript compiles, among various poetic works that include a selection of songs, octaves and glosses, five romances copied in the handwriting of the Spanish illustrator Gregorio Mayans y Siscar in the second half of the 18th century that offer versions and variants of special interest to romance studies. Among them stand out romances linked to French chivalric matter and the Castilian epic (particularly a version of the romance of the Seven Infants of Lara).Fil: Chicote, Gloria Beatriz.
