According to Benedict XVI, the education of young people is an integral part of evangelization. In the face of a multitude of problems in the contemporary world, taking responsibility for the education of young people becomes essential. The process of evangelization must include: conversion as a revision of one’s life; preaching of the Kingdom of God as a reminder that God exists and lives; the person of Jesus Christ as the way of man; and eternal life that does not deprive earthly life of its meaning. The Christian vision of education, in all its integrity and breadth, corresponds with the idealism of young people, who have the right to encounter faith in all its beauty and intellectual richness and with all its radical requirements. Thus, one can say that the educational function expressed by Pope Benedict XVI in his teaching mainly focuses on education in faith, which is an important element of the evangelization process. New evangelization is intended to guide one to the reception of the gift of faith and the confession of Jesus as the Lord and Savior.Według Benedykta XVI wychowanie młodzieży jest integralną częścią ewangelizacji. W obliczu wielu problemów współczesności istotna jest odpowiedzialność za wychowanie młodzieży. W nową ewangelizację wpisują się: nawrócenie jako rewizja własnego życia; głoszenie Królestwa Bożego, które przypomina, że Bóg istnieje i żyje; osoba Jezusa Chrystusa, który jest drogą człowieka; życie wieczne, które nie pozbawia znaczenia życia ziemskiego.
Chrześcijańska wizja wychowania w swej integralności i szerokości odpowiada idealizmowi młodych ludzi, którzy mają prawo, aby spotkać wiarę w całym jej pięknie, bogactwie intelektualnym i radykalnych wymaganiach. Można więc powiedzieć, że funkcja wychowawcza, o której w swoim nauczaniu mówił papież Benedykt XVI, koncentruje się przede wszystkim na wychowaniu w wierze, które jest ważnym elementem procesu ewangelizacji. Nowa ewangelizacja ma prowadzić do przyjęcia daru wiary i wyznania Jezusa jako Pana i Zbawcy
