Ta'zir in Islamic education is an act that is carried out consciously by the educator by giving warnings and lessons to students for violations that have been committed in accordance with Islamic values ​​and principles in accordance with the weight of the violations they have committed. The more serious the violation, the more severe the punishment will be. The issues that can be raised in this research are: (1) how is the implementation of ta'zir in Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah? (2) is there any influence of ta'zir on the level of discipline of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah students? While this study aims to determine the application of ta'zir and the effect of ta'zir on the discipline of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah students. The approach that the author uses is a quantitative approach. This study uses the method of observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. With a sample of 84 respondents. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire instrument to obtain variable (X) and variable (Y) data. Testing the validity and reliability shows that the ta'zir questionnaire instrument on student discipline at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah shows valid and reliable results. Based on the hypothesis test, it is known that ta'zir influences the discipline of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah students. This is evidenced by the results of a simple regression test analysis, the value of F count = 0.008. And it can be seen that the R Square value is 0.620, which means that there is a strong influence between the ta'zir variables simultaneously on the disciplinary variable by 62%. From these results it means that there is a significant influence between ta'zir on the discipline of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah students. This shows that the application of ta'zir following teaching and learning in relation to the discipline of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah students is well proven empirically

At the Al-Ishlah IslamicBoarding School, ta'ziran is also implemented to discipline students who violateapplicable rules, such as violations of not participating in teaching and learningactivities, not entering without permission and not joining the fardhu prayercongregation (specifically for several levels).Punishments or sanctions ( ta'zir ) given to students who have violatedboarding school regulations aim to discipline students so that they do not repeatactions that violate boarding school regulations. Discipline is awareness to dosomething. work in an orderly and orderly manner in accordance with applicableregulations with full responsibility. As a religious institution, Islamic boardingschools are responsible for taking part in educating the younger generation,Islamic boarding schools try as optimally as possible to provide education thatsuits the needs of society. This includes punishments that make students developbetter. From this description arises the author's desire to examine in moredepth the "Influence of Ta'zir on the Level of Discipline of Students at MadrasahDiniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah (MDT) Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding SchoolBandar Kidul, Mojoroto, Kediri City".Research MethodThe research method used in this research is the correlation and field researchmethod, called correlation research because this research uses correlationtechniques which function to determine whether or not there is a positive ornegative and significant relationship between two variables, then it is called fieldresearch because the research this is done in the field (Sahir, 2021). It is said to befield research because the research is carried out in the real world (Zulfa, 2010).This method was used to collect as much information as possible regarding theta'zir of students at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah (MDT) Al-IshlahIslamic Boarding School. From the data obtained, we then looked for whetherthere was an influence or not on the students of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah (MDT) Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School.The population in this study were all 512 students at Madrasah DiniyahTakmiliyah Al-Badriyyah Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School consisting of 389male students and 176 female students. The samples in this study were male andfemale students who violated the regulations of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah Pondok Pesantren Al-Ishlah Mojoroto, Kediri City, totaling 84 students.The samples taken were based on probability sampling techniques; simplerandom sampling, where the researcher provides an equal opportunity for eachstudent to be selected as a random sample without paying attention to the strata inthe population itself.The variables in this research are divided into two types of variables, namelyindependent variables or also known as independent variables. This variable isusually marked with the letter X, what is meant by the independent variable inthis research is " Ta'zir / punishment". Dependent variable or also known asdependent variable. This variable is usually marked with the letter Y, in this studywhat is meant by variable Y is "Discipline in following teaching and learning atMadrasah Diniyah".The data analysis technique in this research is using simple linear regressionanalysis. According (Iqbal, 2015) Regression analysis is a data analysis methodused to predict the value of the dependent variable from several independentvariables. In this study there is only one independent variable. Researchers usethis technique to find out how much the significance of the dependent variable isinfluenced by the independent variable.Before carrying out data analysis with simple linear regression, there areseveral prerequisite tests, namely validity test, reliability test, normality test andlinearity test. The validity test is to find out whether each statement item isvalid/invalid and suitable for use or not in the questionnaire that will be given toAjerAdvanced Journal of Education and ReligionVol. 1, No. 1, Januari 202419the 84 core respondents in this research. And before distributing the questionnaireto the 84 research respondents, the researcher first tested the validity of eachstatement item to 32 students other than the 84 respondents in question. Reliabilitytest carried out to measure the stability and regularity of respondents' answers to apsychological measuring instrument prepared in the form of a questionnaire. It issaid that research is reliable if the measurement results remain the same eventhough they are measured at different times (Sarjono, 2011). The normality testaims to determine whether the data being analyzed is normally distributed or not.The normality test is very important because it is related to testing therequirements for data analysis techniques. The test tool used to carry out thenormality test in this research is the Kolmogorof Smirnov Test using SPSS version20. The linearity test is used to determine whether variable X (giving ta'zir ) andvariable Y (level of discipline) have a linear relationship.Results and DiscussionThis research aims to find out how much influence ta'zir has on the disciplineof students at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah Al-Ishlah IslamicBoarding School Bandar Kidul, Mojoroto, Kediri City. Based on research that hasbeen conducted, the research sample consisted of 84 people who were asked to fillout a questionnaire regarding the variable ta'zir or punishment (X) to the variablediscipline (Y).Ta'zir etymologically means to reject or prevent. In the world of Islamicboarding schools, the term Ta'zir is defined as a lesson or education in the form ofcertain punishments for students who for some reason, for example, oversleep themorning prayer or do not participate in the Koran without a valid reason. Thispunishment aims to prevent the person concerned from repeating the act and todeter the person concerned.Discipline is an exercise of time and mind so that all a person's actions are inaccordance with existing regulations. And discipline is related to coaching,education, and human personal development (Karjanto, 2019). The target ofcoaching and education is the human individual with all his aspects as a whole.All these aspects are regulated, nurtured and controlled until the personconcerned is able to self-regulate. With the existence of ta'zir or punishment atMadrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah, where this is divided into daily,weekly, monthly and even annual punishments, it will affect the discipline ofmadrasah students so that students will become more orderly, honest, diligentstudents. , time and place discipline also respects time.Based on the research that has been carried out, two variables were obtained,namely the Ta'zir variable (X) and the Discipline variable (Y). Data on ta'zir anddiscipline were obtained after students completed the questionnaire that had beenprovided. Below is a summary of the research data. This data will determine ta'zirand discipline. In this research, the questionnaire used was a closed questionnairewith 20 questions for ta'zir and 14 questions for discipline, so the total questionnairewas 34 questions. The scores used in the questionnaire range from 1 to 5 scores.AjerAdvanced Journal of Education and ReligionVol. 1, No. 1, Januari 202420Based on the validity test, a total of 34 questionnaire statement questions weretested on 32 trial respondents, where the results obtained were as shown in table4.1 above. A total of 34 questions were valid because all the calculated r valuesobtained were greater than the r table, that is, 34 questions had a calculated rabove 0.3. Apart from conducting a validity test, the author also carried out areliability test, and from the results of the reliability test, it was discovered that theta'zir and student discipline variables had a Croanbach alpha value of more than0.6. In this way, as many as 34 questionnaire statement questions can be said to bereliable.Based on the normality test, the asymp sig (2-tailed) value is 0.200. So thesignificant value is 0.200 > 0.05, meaning the data used is normally distributed.Meanwhile, based on the results of the ANOVA linearity test that has been carriedout, it is known that the sig. deviation from linearity 0.699 > 0.005, it can beconcluded that there is a linear relationship between the independent variable andthe dependent variable.After that the author carried out a hypothesis test analysis using a simpleregression test. Based on the test results from a simple regression test using theSPSS (Statistical Program For Social Science) version 20.0 program, the calculatedF value = 0.008 with a significance value of 0.030 < 0.05, the regression model canbe used to predict participation variables or in other words there is an influence ofthe ta'zir variable (X) on the student discipline variable of Madrasah Diniyah Al-Badriyyah (Y).Apart from describing the regression equation, the results of this simpleregression test also display a significant test with the F test, namely finding outwhether there is a real (significant) influence between variable X and variable Y.The hypothesis in this research is:Ho = There is no influence between Ta'zir on disciplineHa = There is an influence between Ta'zir on discipline.From the table it is known that the sig value is 0.03, which means (0.03 < 0.05)there is a significant influence between the punishment variable and the disciplinevariable. So Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is asignificant influence between ta'zir and discipline.And finally, researchers conducted a determination test. Based on the results,it is known that the R Square value is 0.620, which means the strong influence ofthe ta'zir variable simultaneously on the discipline variable is 62%.There are several factors that cause ta'zir to have a positive effect on discipline,namely the application of the ta'zir system or the provision of punishments givento students who violate the rules in accordance with their application andcorrectness in their determination, so this can discipline madrasah students inparticipating in activities. studying teaching at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Al-Badriyyah. Punishments are also imposed on pupils and students not because offeelings of revenge, but based on a sense of compassion and caring attitude froman ustadzah or administrator so that students do not do things that violate therules and do not repeat their mistakes.AjerAdvanced Journal of Education and ReligionVol. 1, No. 1, Januari 202421Apart from that, students' understanding of ta'zir and discipline is that theaim of giving ta'zir is not only to deter students, but rather to provideunderstanding and make students aware that what they do is not in accordancewith the rules and norms that apply in the Islamic boarding school environment.Then, students' understanding of the importance of participating in teaching andlearning in an orderly manner and according to madrasa rules can form strongdiscipline in a person and practice cultivating self-discipline.ConclusionThe implementation of Ta'zir or punishment for students at Madrasah DiniyahTakmiliyah (MDT) Al Badriyyah Pondok Pesantren Al Ishlah Bandar KidulMojoroto, Kediri City is carried out by dividing it into daily, weekly, monthly andeven annual punishments / ta'zir . With ta'zir or punishment, students havediscipline so that students have an orderly, honest, diligent attitude, aredisciplined about time and place and can also appreciate time more.From research conducted by researchers, there is a significant influencebetween the ta'zir variable on the discipline level variable. This is based on the testresults from a simple regression test using the SPSS program that the calculated Fvalue = 0.008 with a significance value of 0.030 < 0.05, where there is an influenceof the ta'zir (X) variable on the variable level of discipline of Madrasah Diniyah Alstudents. -Badriyyah (Y). Apart from describing the regression equation, theresults of this simple regression test also display a significant test with the F test,namely finding out whether there is a real (significant) influence between variableX and variable Y.
