Abstract

<i>H</i>. <i>robustus</i> Ukoli, 1968 <p> <b>Type host.</b> Black <i>-</i> winged or common stilt, <i>Himantopus himantopus</i> (Linnaeus) (Charadriiformes: Recurvirostridae).</p> <p> <b>Type locality.</b> Republic of Ghana (previously Ghana); specific type locality unknown.</p> <p> <b>Remarks.</b> Although this species was originally described as <i>Haematotrephus robustum</i> Ukoli, 1968, it was not listed by Yamaguti (1971). Presence or absence of oral and/or ventral sucker is unknown. Ukoli (1968) could not be obtained and therefore this species could not be included in the tables or keys.
