Type locality: Canaries, Atlantic Ocean. <i>Nezumia sclerorhynchus</i>, Galil & Goren, 1994: 50; Goren & Galil, 1997: 201, 2002: 151.</p> <p> <b>Distribution.</b> Atlantic, Mediterranean; depth range 450–800.
