Power supplies that operate in switching mode have higher efficiency compared to linear power supplies. Thus, almost all the latest power supplies operate in switching mode or known as SMPS (Switched Mode Power Supply). The flyback converter isolates the input and output. When the MOSFET is activated, the source voltage flows through transformer's magnetic inductance, resulting in the current of the magnetic inductance increasing linearly. As a result, the diode at the output has reverse bias properties. In this research, we investigate the use of a Flyback Converter as a power supply for MOSFET gate driver in a Buck Converter. Flyback Converter is a DC-DC converter that has galvanic isolation characteristics between input and output. We introduce the concept of implementing a Flyback Converter as a MOSFET gate driver power supply on a Buck Converter. Additionally, we cover the key components in the circuit, including MOSFETs, resistors, capacitors, inductors, UC3845, TLP350 and IRF540. Simulation results in Proteus show good efficiency and performance
