In learning English, problems often arise, especially for the students themselves, this can be seen from the EPI (English Proficiency Index) This research uses an experimental method by taking samples from 20 experimental classes and 18 control classes by testing via pretest and posttest with 10 questions from 4 types of vocabulary. namely various kinds of animals, fruit, vegetables, and vehicles. The research results showed that there was an influence in the experimental group with a significant value of 0.000 and in the control group, there was no influence with a significant value (0.083). Meanwhile, using the Mann Whitney test, there is a significant effect with a sig value (0.0000). From the research results, it can be concluded that flashcards can be taught to children when learning English as an additional method, the systematic use of flashcards can improve English language skills and can be used by teachers for English subjects
