Abstract

The mother, who is the lifeblood of a child, is not always in an ideal situation to educate her child. Many mothers have to face the law as a result of their actions. They must live in the penitentiary to account for their actions. Based on the Directorate General of Prisons data in 2021, there are 9,152 women who are prisoners. Even so, the instinct of a mother having a child remained within her. This study aims to map the relationship between children and mothers as prisoners. This study involved ten female prisoners who were mothers. The results showed that prisoners always remember children and become the center of reason for regret for their actions. However, some women who became prisoners hid their status as prisoners from their children
