The fresh piece: a teaching activity to recover

Abstract

The fresh piece is a particular type of diagnostic discussion that allows an initial approach to clinicopathological concordance. This article aims to provide a brief reminder of the actions that make up the fresh piece activity. The four moments are required for its execution: presentation of the case, clinical discussion, presentation of the pieces and conclusions of the activity. The need for systematicity in its execution is highlighted given the high number of autopsies that are performed in our context
